Terms of Agreement

1.) Stud fees are payable in full at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made for payment, or if a puppy is to be taken in lieu of the fee by the stud owner.

2.) The only guarantee is that of the actual mating. If the female fails to whelp a return service will be made to the same dog provided this stud is still in my possession, with a 1 yr limit for return of service. If this stud is not available for any reason you may choose to breed to another one of our stud dogs (reimbursement of any price difference will be provided) or receive a full refund of the original stud fee less any transportation/veterinary expenses.  If the ownership of the female changes, rights to return of service will be at our discretion.

3.) If a puppy is to be received instead of a cash fee, we will make our choice of the litter at 7-8 weeks of age. ALL puppies from the litter must be present when we make our choice. The rights to choice of litter are in no way affected by change of ownership of the dam.

4.) It is agreed the stud owner is under no obligation to sign the AKC paperwork for this litter until the stud fee is paid in full, or the stud puppy is in our possession.

5.) One live puppy constitutes a litter.  If no pregnancy occurs or all puppies die by 8 weeks of age we will provide a follow up breeding for no charge excluding any travel expenses/veterinary tests/etc.  If there is only one puppy we will cancel puppy choice in lieu of stud fee.

6.) Transportation of the female to and from the stud dog is the responsibility of the female owner. Any & all fees incurred in doing so are also the responsibility of the female owner.

7.) Prior to breeding the female owner must provide proof of ALL standard yearly vaccinations (given at least 3 weeks prior to coming into our possession - DHLPP, Kennel Cough, Rabies, etc) and a negative brucellosis test.  We also strongly suggest OFA or Penn Hip Certification of females before breeding and REQUIRE  certification if NGDC/NAGDC/FC/AFC Peter Gunn is the intended sire.

8.) We may choose to assist in advertisement of the litter on our website.  However, if the female has not passed OFA or PENN hip certification there will be NO assistance in advertisement of the litter.

9.) While in our care your female will reside at Carter Veterinary Clinic and be hand walked for the duration of her visit. However, we will not be held responsible or liable for accidental death, illness or injury while she is being transported to or from us, or while she is residing here with us.  Should your female fall ill during her stay you will be responsible for medical expenses.
