Lila is one of our newer additions brought in to add a new "Twist" to our genetics.  She has unparalleled pointing instinct, incredibly strong bird drive, and very nice range for a young dog.  We hope for her to make an outstanding gun dog. Lila entered the end of the 2011 Spring Field trial season as a finished gun dog competitor.  We were incredibly proud of her placement in the Open Gun Dog stake in her first three trials as an adult and only hope for placements to mount as her training becomes stronger and she matures.  We expect her to cast a quality image as a gun dog an continue running in the elegant manner she has shown.

Her sire is NFC/FC/AFC Shambo's Dark Shadow who is the top winning hour All-Age Brittany in the history of the breed.  In 2001 he was named the National Field Champion at the All-Age National Championship.  He has 44 1-hour All-Age placements throughout his career and is an 11x American Field Champion and 10x American Field Champion Runner up.  He was also named the 2002 Iams/Royal Kanin Dog of the Year.

Her dam, DC/AFC Tequila with a Twist is a 2x American Brittany Club National Dual award winner, and was BOB at the 2008 ABC National Specialty show. She finished the 2008 field trial season as the #2 All Age Brittany in the country and now has a total of 17 hour placements. She is a 2x American Field Champion and 4x American Field Champion Runner-up and has also placed twice at the Brittany All-Age National Championship.  DC/AFC Tequila with a Twist was sired by Brittany Hall of Famer NFC/DC/AFC Tequila's Joker who was the 1997 National All-Age Champion.  Hall of Famer NFC/DC/AFC Tequila's Joker was also a 8x American Field Champion, 5x American Field Champion Runner-Up, had 26 All-Age hour wins, and of course was a conformational show champion.
